It was something we needed to do.
Our Founders Jake Wainberg and Alon Ben Eli, both serial entrepreneurs and migrants from Israel were the textbook definitions of The American Dream. They move to America 20 years ago as young and ambitious immigrants who had to go through extreme difficulties to be able to build multiple businesses in the New York area. They did not just seek the American Dream, they lived it, through sweat, grit, and unwavering spirit.
They started several businesses around New York and quickly ran into a big hiccup - hiring talented folks was a steep hill to climb, both in availability and costs. It's New York, after all! A friendly chat with a pal, who found success by outsourcing tasks to the Philippines, lighted a bulb in Jake’s mind. Why not try that?
So, ‘On Spot Sales’ was born, trying the waters with hiring folks in the Philippines at a fraction of New York prices, and boy, did that work wonders in no time! But Jake saw something bigger – a vast field of opportunities for small businesses across the USA to reap the same rewards through outsourcing. But in order to do that, he had to bring in someone who can steer the company to the right direction and provide the expertise needed to succeed.
Here’s where I hopped on this exciting ride, and ‘On Spot Sales’ transformed into 'OnSpot Global,' moving from just a sales-focused firm to a full-on Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company. This shift wasn’t just a change in operations but a heartful effort to build a sturdy, consistent business model that wouldn’t rock the boat with every wave in the sales market.
Our first external partnerships were all about sales. We were sales brokers for multiple moving companies and got paid on pure sales commissions at the start. We knew that is a huge market for small businesses in the US for outsourcing. So we brought in our friends as clients. However, we felt like the revenue with On Spot Sales is highly dependent on the clients and their leads. Sales could fluctuate and so as the revenue. We wanted to build a more staple operations and stable income as cashflow.
We had to reinvent. This is when we transition from 'On Spot Sales' to 'OnSpot Global'. We did a complete pivot of our business model from a sales organization to a full scale BPO. We then started converting our clients from sales to other parts of outsourcing to build a more consistent business model that is not dependent of client leads.
Meanwhile, Jake, always the dreamer, also nurtured another baby, Allure Premium Clinics, which became a booming business, thanks to our hands-on teams spread across from Costa Rica to the Philippines, managing everything from marketing,
sales, customer support, technical support, chat support, concierge, and even post-care support.
We became more than service providers. We operated our BPO, offered service-brokering to clients in the USA and UK, and ran a complex operation that needed a strong foundation to ensure our clients always left with a smile.
So, OnSpot didn’t sprout just because we fancied running a BPO. We needed it. It allowed us to not only save some bucks but also to expand our operations and get more businesses on board with our ventures.
Today, OnSpot is more than we dreamed. It’s a support system for small businesses, startups, and professionals, breaking down those scary barriers to outsourcing. We broke the chains so that our clients, like us, can find success and growth while keeping costs down.
We ventured beyond being mere vendors, operating as a captive BPO and offering brokerage services to our treasured clients across the U.S. and U.K., thereby spiraling into a complex operations that demanded the weaving of robust systems and processes to maintain exemplary client satisfaction and to magnetize further business ventures.
We understand our clients to the core because we were in their shoes. Our leadership team are comprised of entrepreneurs who started and ran their own companies prior to OnSpot. We want to be different. We want to provide the best services to our clients and do it the right way. This is when The OnSpot Experience was established.
